VMware Buys 5% Equity in Terremark

VMware has agreed with Terremark to purchase 4 million shares at $5 per share, which will see total investment of $20million. The $20million investment will give VMware a 5% share in Terremark.

VMworld Europe 2009 Virtualization Innovation Award Went to Atos Origin

Atos Origin an international IT services company, received the prestigious innovation award 'EMEA North Partner Award 2008 for most innovative use of virtual infrastructure' at the 2009 VMworld event in Cannes. This award was given to Atos Origin in recognition of its innovative use of VMWare technology across its customer base.

Wyse thin clients ready for VMware View

Wyse announced yesterday at this years VMworld conference in Cannes, France that their entire line of thin client systems are VMware View ready. Wyse said they have passed the rigorous testing and quality assurance required to be compliant with VMware View.

Being VMware View ready Wyse said their customers will be better positioned to take advantage of the changing virtualization infrastructure including cloud computing.

OpsCheck Tripwire’s new VMotion Tool

Tripwire have released a new tool along with a new community at vWire.com the tool OpsCheck (find link in our virtualization tools section) will check for compatibility or readiness for VMotion.

OpsCheck will join their other security tool ConfigCheck. OpsCheck will analyze your ESX3.0 and ESXi hypervisors, and provide troubleshooting guidance for VMware VMotion.
