XP Mode not Possible on Some Intel and AMD Chips

In an effort to keep some customers, happy Microsoft recently announced that the new version on Microsoft Windows – Windows 7 will run in XP mode; Allowing businesses with application that can only run on XP to have to benefit of the application running newer hardware. Sounds like a great idea, but according to the The Enquirer some Intel and AMD chips will not support this mode.

Microsot Application Virtualization Customers Can Now Deploy Windows 7 Beta on Microsoft App-V

Businesses with Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) can now deploy Windows 7 Beta in their virtualization environment for testing. Microsoft has announced the release of an updated version of App-V 4.5 CU1 specific for Windows 7. Therefore, enterprise customers and Independent software providers with Microsoft Virtualization can implement windows 7 beta in their environment.
