NComputing has announced technology integration between NComputing vSpace virtualization software and desktop devices with Microsoft Windows Multipoint Server (WMS) 2011 multiuser operating system. This integration extends the benefits of WMS 2011 low cost, high performance networking and rich managementfeatures from the server through to the desktop endpoint to provide a complete, simple and seamless end-to-end desktop virtualization deployment.

NComputing has signed an OEM relationship with Fujitsu Technology Solutions. As part of the agreement Fujitsu will integrate NComputing's 64-bit vSpace virtualization and NUMO system on a chip (SoC) with its PC, servers and services to provide fully-integrated multi-workplace solutions optimized for SMB customers.

The systems will be marketed under Fujitsu's FUTRO brand in an integrated network-ready monitor FUTRO DC20-1 and as a stand-alone client, the FUTRO C400. The multi-work place solutions will be sold through the channel and will be available immediately in EMEA markets.

NComputing has announced the launch of a beta program for customers deploying its flagship virtual desktop solution, NComputing L300, in VMware environments. Participants in the beta program will experience greater integration and connectivity between NComputing virtual desktops and servers hosted in VMware vSphere and View environments.

Additionally, by providing client access to NComputing vSpace virtualization hosts through the View Connection Server, it will enhance and simplify virtual desktop management in highly complex virtualized environments.

This month LG Electronics will release its new SmartVine N-series monitors with embedded virtualization. The new system will allow the monitors to function as virtual computers allowing multiple users to use the system at the same time.

The market for thin client is more open than it was three or more years ago and a lot of us are unsure which thin client to use in our virtual desktop infrastructure.
