Citrix NetScaler VPX Adds Support for Microsoft Hyper-V

Citrix Systems announced today that its popular Citrix NetScaler VPX virtual appliance will add extensive support for business-critical Microsoft datacenter and infrastructure solutions, including Microsoft(R) Hyper-V(TM), Microsoft System Center and key Microsoft enterprise applications like SharePoint 2010 and Exchange Server 2010. As a result, Microsoft datacenter administrators will now be able to apply all the same NetScaler acceleration, load balancing and security features that power many of the world's largest datacenters, as a native Hyper-V workload from directly within System Center -- with no networking knowledge or configuration required.

Novell Certified SUSE Linux Enterprise for Citrix XenServer

Citrix and Novell have agreed to collaborate on Linux Virtualization platform through the virtualization compatibility program from Novell.  Novell has certified Citrix Xenserver as a host platform for it SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.  The partnership means that customers who want to run SUSE Linux as a guest on XenServer can do so with the assurance that they will get support from both Novell and Citrix. Both companies said the collaboration will expand the choice for customers through increase virtualization interoperability.

Wyse Released Version 4 of Wyse TCX Suite

Wyse last month released the latest version of its Wyse TCX suite, version 4.0.  This new version according to Wyse is more comprehensive in that it seamlessly work with VMware View, Microsoft Terminal services, Citrix XenDesktop and Citrix XenApp.  TCX suite also features a Collaborative Processing Architecture (CPA) an intelligent architecture which divides the workload between the client and the server.
